INTERNAL/COUNTER SALES REPRESENTATIVE Kimberley

Introduction:

The incumbent is responsible for in-store sales. The Internal Salesperson works directly with store customers, provides them with specialist technical product information and sell products to customers. The incumbent is required to be well presented with strong interpersonal and sales skills which allows for building and strengthening of customer relationships.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

  • Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent
  • Certificate/Diploma/Degree would be advantageous
  • Valid code B driver’s license and own transport
  • Passed credit and criminal checks
  • S.A. Citizen or valid work permit for S.A.
  • 1-3 years’ work-related skills, knowledge or experience in a relevant position
  • Electrical Industry
  • Retail Sales Environment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyse the market environments and identify problem areas as well as potential opportunities
  • Cold Calling
  • Answer the telephone
  • Reply to emails (enquiries, quotations, orders)
  • Greet and service customers with a smile
  • Greet all customers when passing the retail area
  • Effectively manage the pay point.
  • Ensure cash box area is neat and tidy
  • Direct customer to correct product location
  • Provide specialist technical information and knowledge
  • Offer technical solutions to customers
  • Promote marketing related promotions and competitions
  • Promote the brand and franchise
  • Close sales-discounts, invoicing, orders, COD accounts or 30-day accounts
  • Make sure all products are invoiced according to item codes and stick descriptions
  • Provide customers with quotations
  • Follow up with suppliers for customer orders
  • Assist customers with returns/exchanges of goods
  • Provide customers with feedback regarding the progress of their order/s
  • Follow-up with supplier/s regarding stock orders for the store
  • Identify new and potential clients that can form part of the customer base
  • Assist stores with receipt of stock and stock count
  • Update success tracker on a daily basis
  • Day end cash-up and balancing of all monies (account, credit card, cheque, cash)
  • Learn about other department heads & managers to direct customers in the right direction.
